About the Event -
In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore the technique of pinched pottery, creating your own handmade mug to take home at a later date. Tickets include one drink from the cafe, clay and hand building materials, instruction, firing and glazing fees.

Our instructor, Audrey, will demonstrate the fundamentals for building a pinched mug and provide the guidance you need along the way. From there, you can freely create to shape your final piece.

No prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity. Whether you make it a date night or just come to try something new, this is an opportunity to explore, connect, and create. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that can get messy.

The café will be open, offering drinks and light bites to enjoy during the workshop.
Come as you are.

Spots are limited —reserve yours today!

Details for pickup: After the workshop, your finished pieces will be bisque fired, clear glazed, fired one more, and ready for pick up in ~3 weeks. Once ready, an email will be sent with pickup details. Pieces can be collected at Rebel Coffee during business hours 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM. If you’re unable to make it at that time, please reach out to audreyjeanceramics@gmail.com to arrange an alternative pickup. Your pieces will be food safe, non-toxic, and non-hazardous.

The Nature of Handmade: While it’s rare, pieces may crack during the drying or firing process. This is part of creating something handmade. If it happens, we’re so sorry and hope you still enjoy the process and the time spent creating 🤍

About Audrey -
I create small batch ceramic tableware out of a home studio in Kansas City.
Over the years, spending time with clay and immersing myself in creating has become a meditative therapy necessary for my well being.

As a child, my happy place was in the mud. As an adult, it still is. I was first introduced to the potters wheel when I was 10 years old while attending FAIR school for arts in Crystal, Minnesota. I fell in love with clay as a medium and continued taking classes and expanding my knowledge. During the pandemic (you guessed it) I purchased a potters wheel and eventually decided quit a corporate job in finance to pursue this dream. Now here I am!

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to spend my days creating.
